From July 1st 2016 the new SOLAS convention will make it a legal requirement for shippers to verify the gross mass of containers prior to shipping. If you are listed on the bill of lading as the shipper you will be responsible for providing the verified gross weight.
LOADWEIGH Queensland are fully conversant with the latest legislation and can provide solutions that enable you to meet the new ASMA requirements.

Although LOADWEIGH have a number of different forklift and container lift scale systems, such as the static weighing system CL1000. The next level includes the CL5000 and the CL6000 weighing systems which are set up in lift speed compensated mode or otherwise known as dynamic. Unlike a normal forklift weighing system, where you lift to a high point then lower slightly to obtain a weigh reading, we have a magnet and sensor attached and when the magnet passes the sensor it will obtain the correct weight reading at this point. The calibration process is a little more involved as well than doing a static system. The CL6000 also has some features which customers may have not have used before.
Full system training will be provided on the day of installation. The customer would need to supply a Flat rack container or normal container, of known weight, with a ramp to load the test weights to calibrate the weighing system. We estimate the time to fit and commission the system is 2 days.
